The Volunteer Portal is a public website that allows your volunteers to view and sign up for engagements within your organization. You can control the layout of your volunteer portal to customize the view of your volunteer portal using the tools on this page.
Volunteers who visit your site can browse the portal without logging in or they can log in to your volunteer portal. The Public View and Logged In View icons to the left of the Preview button let you change between customizing the Public View (which is what users see when they are not logged in) and the Logged In View (which is what users see when they are logged in to the volunteer portal. You are able to create a customized view for both.
The Preview button give you the option of previewing what your volunteer portal looks like on a mobile, tablet, or desktop device. This preview can help you optimize the layout of your volunteer portal for each user experience.
The View Live button will launch your actual volunteer portal in a new browser window.
Below the Preview button, you will see the Volunteer Portal URL. This is the website address that volunteers can use to find your volunteer portal. You are able to modify the ending part of the website address. GiftWorks will set a default value for this website address. If you want to change it, click on the pencil icon at the end of the website address and set it to be a desired value. Click the check icon to save this change. If you have already informed the public of this address and make a change, you will need to let them know of the change.
