Summary

As part of our commitment to continuously update and enhance our Panorama Donor Management system, we recently made the following enhancements:

Smartlists – ability to filter dates using a “not between” filter

Client/Internal Benefit:

• New feature
• Additional SmartList filter functionality

Details:

Users can now use a “not between” filter on Date fields in their Smartlists.

The “NOT BETWEEN” command is used in the following scenarios:

• Filtering records that fall outside a specific range.
• Excluding values that satisfy the condition of a “BETWEEN” clause.
• Handling data that does not meet the defined range criteria.

Example: If you wanted to see all the Constituents who donated in the last 12 months but have not donated yet this year (or the past 3 months, etc.).

The below screenshot shows a Constituent Smartlist with columns for: Last Payment Date, Display Name, Constituent ID and Constituent Status:

We can click on the Filter Data button to add a Filter that:

• includes Constituents with a Last Payment Date in 2023 (between Jan 1 and Dec 31, 2023)
• excludes Constituents who have donated in the summer months (not between June 1 and Aug 31, 2023)
• includes only Constituents with a Status of Active

This Smartlist is now filtered to only the matching Constituents:

Additional Items included in this release:

• Smartlists: "Constituent - Volunteers by Ongoing Engagements" was not displaying columns. This has been fixed.
• Smartlists: "Constituent - All Volunteers" was not not displaying columns. This has been fixed.
• Smartlists: "Constituent - Volunteers by Event" was not displaying columns. This has been fixed. 
• Payment SmartList Export – Was not showing the Source column. This has been fixed.
• Mailings - Template Font Sizes were updated to correspond with Microsoft Word Font sizes
• Mailings - Preview Receipts was fixed so all fields will now show.
• Mailings - CC and BCC for Soft Credit and Tribute email Mailings is now working properly 
• Importer - Improved error handling has been implemented to prevent imports from getting stuck validating.
• Importer - Import with Job Title was getting stuck in validation. This has been fixed.
• Constituent Merge Search has been fixed so that constituents where IsAffiliate is null will be found.
