The custom email option will allow a merchant to create customized emails which can be sent to an individual or multiple email addresses as well as all email addresses for enrolled users registered to the merchant's website.
To create a new customized template simply click the Create/Edit Custom Email button in the upper right corner of the email templates screen. The new custom email template list screen will appear.
Edit – The edit icon allows the merchant to edit the data within a template.
View – The view icon allows the merchant to view the data within a template.
Active – The active icon allows the merchant to change the status of the template between active and inactive.
Delete – The delete icon allows the merchant to delete the template completely so it is no longer stored in our database.
Scheduled Date – This is the date the notification will be sent to consumers. To create a new template click the create custom email button in the upper right corner of the screen. This will open up the new template screen.
Template Name – This field will contain the name of the template for easy reference on the main template screen.
Template Description – This can be a short description of the custom template.
From – The from field will contain the email address that will be displayed in the from field of the consumer's notification.
To – The To field can be filled in with an individual email address, multiple email addresses separated by a semi-colon or the variable [[ALL]] to email all enrolled consumers.
CC – The merchant may use this field to send a copy of the notification to a different email address.
BCC – The merchant may use this field to send a blind copy of the notification to a different email address.
Reply to – This field can be used to specify a different email address to be used if the consumer clicks the reply button on their email service.
Subject – This field will populate the subject line of the notification.
Variables – The variable list allows a merchant to insert standardized field information into a template to create a more customized email notification. For custom emails the variable list has been modified to only display applicable variables.
Email Schedule Date – This is where the merchant will enter the date the notification should be sent. Notifications can only be scheduled by date. Custom templates cannot be sent at a specific time. The notifications may be sent anytime within that date based on how many notifications are queued up for distribution.
Email Body – This is where the merchant will enter the customized text for the notification. The merchant has a variety of formatting options including font type, size and color. These additional formatting options may not display properly in all email services.
