Let's Learn:
Workplace Connect allows administrators to manage user access for your organization. From the USERS tab, administrators can create new user accounts, grant or remove administrator access, and deactivate users who no longer need access.
Note: Only users with administrator access can manage users in Workplace Connect.
Setting Up Admin Access for an Existing User
An existing administrator can update the user's account to provide Admin access.
Admin access allows the user to perform administrative tasks within Workplace Connect, including managing other users and setting up EFT.
An existing administrator logs in to Workplace Connect.
Navigate to the USERS tab.
Locate the user who needs administrator access.
Click the Edit icon (paper and pencil) next to the user's account.
5. Check the Admin box.
6. Click SUBMIT to save the changes.
Tip: Only grant Admin access to users who need to manage users or perform other administrative tasks. For users who only need standard access, leave the Admin box unchecked.
Creating a New User
If someone needs access to Workplace Connect but does not already have a user account, an existing administrator can create an account for them.
An existing administrator logs in to Workplace Connect.
Navigate to the USERS tab.
Click Create.
4. Enter the user's information:
First Name
Last Name
Email Address
5. If the new user also needs administrator access, check the Admin box.
6. Click SUBMIT to save the new user.
After the new user is successfully created, Workplace Connect will send an invitation email to the email address provided.
The user will use the email address as their username and will be prompted to create their password as part of the account setup process.
If Admin access was selected when the account was created, the user will have administrator permissions once their account is set up.
If the user does not see the invitation email, ask them to check their spam or junk folder first.
If the invitation still cannot be located, verify that the email address entered for the account is correct.
Deactivating a User
Workplace Connect currently does not provide an option to permanently delete a user account.
Instead, users who no longer need access can be marked as Inactive. The user's account information may continue to appear in Workplace Connect for record-keeping purposes, but the account will no longer be considered active.
Deactivating the account is recommended when a user leaves the organization or no longer requires access to Workplace Connect.

Locate the user who should be deactivated.
Click the Edit icon (paper and pencil).
If the user currently has Admin access, uncheck the Admin box.
Uncheck the Active box to mark the user as inactive.
7. Click SUBMIT to save the changes.
The user's account will remain in Workplace Connect for record-keeping purposes but will be marked as Inactive.
Resetting a User's Password
An existing administrator can initiate a password reset for a user directly from the USERS tab. This can be helpful when a user has forgotten their password or is having trouble accessing their account.

Navigate to the USERS tab.
Locate the user who needs a password reset.
Click the Edit icon (paper and pencil) next to the user's account.
Click Reset Password in blue.
6. Follow any prompts provided to complete the password reset process.
Once the password reset is initiated, the user will receive an email containing a temporary password at the email address associated with their Workplace Connect account.
The user should:
Check their email for the password reset message.
Use the temporary password provided in the email to log in to Workplace Connect.
After logging in, the system will prompt them to create a new password.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the password reset.
Note: If the password reset email does not appear in the user's inbox, ask them to check their Spam or Junk folder. Make sure they are checking the email address associated with their Workplace Connect account.
