If you're using GiftWorks Desktop (the installed version) or GiftWorks Anywhere (the Citrix-hosted version) and are considering moving to the cloud-based Panorama Donor Management (GiftWorks Cloud), this guide explains what the migration involves and what changes once you switch.
What Migrates

What Changes After Migration
Access: GiftWorks Cloud is browser-based — no installation or Citrix required. You can access it from any device.
Backups: FrontStream manages cloud backups automatically. You no longer need to create manual .bak files.
SmartLists: The SmartList interface works similarly to GiftWorks Desktop, but you'll need to recreate your saved lists.
Mailings: The online mailing builder is different from the desktop version. Allow time to set up your templates.
Reports: Report layouts differ from the desktop version. Standard reports are available; custom report configurations need to be rebuilt.
Third-party integrations: Constant Contact and MailChimp integrations are supported in the online version. Please take note that Giftworks Cloud or Donor Management only works with the on-line version of Quickbooks and not desktop.
How to Start the Migration Process
To start the migration process, Submit a support request and use subject "Migration Request". Include your organization name, EIN, contact person name, Email address and contact number.
Our Sales and Customer Success team members will be responding to you directly to schedule a time to go over migration.
Running Both Systems During Migration
It is not recommended to enter new data in GiftWorks Desktop after starting the migration. Any records added after the data export will not be reflected in the online account and would need to be manually added. Schedule your migration for a low-activity period if possible.
