How does the BiddingForGood community option work?

Expand the reach of your auction by making your auction accessible to the BiddingForGood Bidder Community. Once your auction is open, the BiddingForGood Bidder Community will be able to visit your auction and bid on items, increasing your auction revenue. Anyone who creates a free bidder account on our main BiddingForGood website can find your auction and items!

Under Event > Set Up > Bidder Community

When unchecking the box from the above menu, will cause the auction and your items to not be searchable on the main Biddingforgood website. People, however, can still go to your Organization's web address and bid. Your auction URL can be found under Event > Set Up > Switch Active Event. 

If there are any particular items in your auction you want to exclude from the BiddingForGood Bidder Community, you can do this on a per-item basis through the Item Importer or the item form.

Note: Unchecking  Bidder Community per item basis will only prevent the item from being searched on the main BFG website, if someone lands on your homepage which is searchable and views all of your items, they can still bid on the item. In order to ensure no items can be found by the bidder community, the whole bidder community option needs to be disabled. 

NOTE: Changes to your accessibility to the BiddingForGood Bidder Community could take up to 24 hours to take effect.
