Important Things to Know Before Embedding Videos
If embedding a video please make note of the following:
- You must have a Premium YouTube account in order to embed a livestream video.
- Your video will ONLY display on your auction homepage or whichever text box you add the code to. So please keep in mind that once bidders navigate away from the page your video is located on they will not be able to see the livestream.
- Videos will not show for those who are accessing your homepage via a mobile device.
How to Embed Videos
Image and Video HTML Code is also accepted in the “Source Code” field: < >
You can embed video and images in the text boxes, such as the Item Description field, Item Special Note, or Main Article text by using an "Embed" HTML tag to embed a video player and file. The video file must be hosted elsewhere on the web (YouTube.com TM, for example). Often, video-hosting websites provide the HTML code for this function once a video has been uploaded to their site.
Step 1: The video needs to be hosted on another site. For example, YouTube.
Step 2: Then copy the HTML code for the video. On YouTube, you can get this under Share > Embed. Make sure the checkbox next to Use Old Embed Code is unchecked.
Step 3: Go to edit your homepage or the item where you want to add the video
Click on the HTML button in the toolbar above the Text Box where you want to add the video (the button looks like this: < >). Another small box will pop up.
Step 4: Paste in the HTML code and click OK at the bottom.
Step 5: Scroll down to the bottom of your page and click Save to save your changes.
How to Upload HTML Image Code
The home page template allows you to upload one image in the Main Article Image section. This image falls to the left of the Main article text box.
To upload this image:
Step 1: Go to create or edit your homepage
Step 2: Scroll down to Main Image (in the Header & Main Text section)
Step 3: Click on the Choose File button
Step 4: From there, navigate to the image's location on your computer and click Open. Don't forget to save your changes!
You can also embed images and videos on both your auction home page and within an item's description or special notes.
How to Embed Images
Step 1: You'll first need to host the image on a 3rd party website.
Here are a few 3rd party websites recommended by the FrontStream Team.
Please Note: These are 3rd party websites FrontStream's team recommends and is in no association with FrontStream or the software FrontStream offers.
Step 3: On the top of the text box where you wish to embed your image, click on the HTML Source Code Button on the toolbar.
Step 4: Source Code Code Box Appears
This field allows you to plug in HTML to super customize your event page.
Image HTML codes can be plugged in this fields to get the best outcome when uploading images.
Here is an example of what an image HTML looks like that can be used in the source code field:
<a href="https://imgbb.com/"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/XFy9pVV/Picture1.png" alt="Picture1" border="0"></a><br /><a target='_blank' href='https://imgbb.com/'>image posting</a><br />
The image link is usually found next to the image on the host website.
Be sure to include all code populated for the image or video that will be uploaded.
Click on OK and then scroll down to the bottom and Save the work that has been done.
Note: Panorama’s Support Team does not offer support for custom HTML due to the nature of customizing the site, as custom HTML can affect the auction page. We recommend testing code on an event you have not linked externally to make sure things are working before you implement the code on a live event. Please proceed with caution!
